Season 1

The series begins with a faithful soldier of the Night’s Watch surviving an attack by some egregious white-blue creature, later to be found out as a White Walker. This season spends most a lot of the time at the beginning introducing all the characters. In the first episode, we see Jamie and Cersei having sex (they are siblings) and they bush Brandon Stark out of a window after he sees them in a tower around Winterfell. This makes him paralyzed from the waist down. Robert offers Ned Stark a new role as the King’s Hand, and he leaves for Winterfell with his two daughters, Sansa and Arya. While unconscious, Bran is attacked by an assassin but his direwolf saves him. Jon snow joins the Night’s Watch. Jon is joined by Tyrion Lannister on his way to The Wall. Daenerys soon learns that she is pregnant with Khal Drogo’s baby. Jon becomes friends with Samwell Tarly. Sansa begins to dream of becoming a queen. In the middle of the season, Catelyn Stark arrests Tyrion for conspiring to murder Bran. Ned then refuses to participate in Robert’s plan to assassinate Daenerys Targaryen and resigns as Hand of the King. Ned then discovers that Robert’s kids are actually not legitimate born children. Tyrion requests a trial by combat and Bronn volunteers and wins Tyrion his freedom. Drogo then kills Viserys, Daenerys’’ brother. Injured during his hunt, a dying Kind Robert names Ned protector of the realm until Joffrey reaches legal age. Ned sends a letter to Stannis, Robert’s brother, intending to enthrone him since Robert has no real heirs. After lots of drame between Cersei, Joffrey, and Ned, Ned is eventually charged with treason and after Sansa begs Joffrey for mercy, he order Ned to be beheaded anyway. After this, Robb and The north secede from the Seven Kingdoms with Robb Stark as their king. Daenerys goes into labor but the baby dies, and soon after does Khal Drogo due to a wound infection. At the end of the season, Daenerys rises from a huge fire with three newborn dragons.

Season 2

Tyrion takes up the role of acting Hand of the King. Stannis also proclaims loyalty to the Lord of Light with the Red Women and lays claim to the Iron Throne and reveals to the world of Joffrey’s bastardy. After winning a few battles, Robb will trade peace for his sister’s return and Northern independence. Theon returns home and meets up with his family. They despise Theon for his northern ways. Cersei rejects Robb’s offer. Catelyn meets Brienne of Tarth. Daenerys arrives at the gates of Qarth, a prosperous slave city. Myrella, Cersei’s daughter is sent away from King’s Landing. Meanwhile, Theon takes over King’s landing and Bran and Rickon Stark escape. Daenerys dragons are stolen. Jaime has been captured and is causing trouble in the Stark’s camp, however he is secretly freed by Catelyn and Brienne is escorting him to King’s landing. Daenerys heads to the House of the Undying to retrieve her dragons and Stannis’ fleet attacks King’s Landing. Tyrion leads the defense and destroys most of the ships with wildfire. Tywin lannister appears just in time to save the day and forces the Baratheon troops to retreat. Joffrey sets Sansa aside to marry Margaery, Daenerys gets her dragons back.

Season 3

Many of the Night’s Watch are injured and killed in the White Walker’ attack and they pledge to return to the wall and tell the kingdom of what has happened. Baelish offers Sansa help to escape King’s Landing, but Shae warns her to not trust him. Daenerys arrives in Astapor to buy an army called the “Unsullied”. While escorting Jaime, Brienne and him are captured by Bolton soldiers. Theon is then captured by who turns out to be Ramsay Bolton and is tortured. One of the Bolton soldiers cuts off Jaime’s hand and the wound get infected as he is beaten and tortured more. Daenerys agrees to be the 8,000 unsullied and the translated for one dragon. Clegane is sentenced to trial by combat against Dondarrion, the leader of the Brotherhood without Banners. Daenerys completes the trade and then tests the Unsullied by asking them kill all of their masters and then grants them all their freedom. They stay to be in her army as free men. Tyrion, as the new master of coin, learns that the crown is deeply, deeply in debt. Dondarrion is killed in combat vs The Hound but is resurrected seemingly by the power of the Lord of Light. Robb makes a desperate alliance with Frey. Jon and Ygritte have sex. In King’s landing, Tywin coerces Olenna into marrying Loras to Cersei. In the North, Bran begins his journey north of the wall to find the three eyed raven. Daenerys gets to the city of Yunkai and declares war on them. Jaime returns to Harrenhal to help save Brienne, who was put in a fighting pit against a bear and they leave together. King’s Landing hosts Tyrion and Sansa’s wedding. Tyrion tells Sansa they will not consummate their marriage until she wants to. Daenerys finds out Yunkai employed a mercey company called “Second Sons”, however their leader kills all their other leaders and declares loyalty to Daenerys. Sam kills a white walker with a Dragonglass dagger. Bran also learns of his ability to enter minds as he enters Hodor’s to calm him. Then the Red Wedding happens. After breaking his vow to marry Walder Frey's daughter, Edmure marries her and they leave to consummate their marriage. After, Bolton and the Lannisters kill Robb and Catelyn and Arya arrives just in time to witness the massacre but Sandor knocks her out and takes her to safety. It is revealed that Tywin is the mastermind of this massacre and appoints Bolton Warden of the North. Daenerys frees the slaves of Yunkai and Jamie finally returns to King’s Landing.

Season 4

This season begins with an omen, Tywin reforges Ice, the Stark ancestral sword into two new swords, on for Jaime and one for Joffrey. Prince of Dorne, Oberyn Martell arrives in King’s Landing with Ellaria Sand to attend the royal wedding. Daenerys leaders her army toward Meereen, the last of the three large slave cities. Her dragon are growing in size but are becoming harder and harder to control. Jaime begins training with his new sword and his single hand with Bronn. King Joffrey and Margaery are wed, but soon after Joffrey succumbs to the poisoned wine he drank. Cersei accuses Tyrion of the murder and has him arrested. Sansa leaves with Littlefinger. Meanwhile, Tommen is being groomed to be the next king. Daenerys captures Meereen amidst a slave revolt. Cersei, convinced of Tyrion’s guilt, orders Jaime to hunt down and kill Sansa. Jaime instead asks Brienne to find and protect Sansa, giving her his sword and Podrick as her squire. Tommen is crowned King and Littlefinger takes Sansa to the Eyrie, but it is also revealed that Lysa Arryn and Littlefinger plotted to get Jon Arryn killed while framing the Lannisters. Meanwhile, Daenerys postpones her invasion of Westeros to bring order to Slaver’s bay and pronounces herself queen. Tywin then puts a bounty on the Hound. Tyrion is brought to trial for Joffrey’s murder. Everyone testifies against him, even though they were lying, but he demands trial by combat. Cersei appoints the Mountain, while Oberyn steps up for Tyrion. Lysa sees Littlefinger kiss Sansa and enraged by jealousy, she threatens to push Sansa through the Moon Dor, but Littlefinger intervenes and pushes her through. Oberyn gains the upper hand in the battle for Tyrion but lets down his guard and gets his skull crushed by the Mountain.Tywin sentences Tyrion to Death. Daenerys exiles Jorah as she learns he was only ever there in the first place as a spy, even though he has given up that part of his life. The wildlings attack Castle Black, Ygritte dies in Jon’s arms in that battle. Jon goes beyond the wall to kill Mance Rayder. Bran finally meets the three eyed raven. Arya enters a ship headed to Braavos to reunite with Jaqen H’ghar. Qyburn starts using experimental treatments to save the Mountain. Daenerys chains two of her dragons in the catacombs because she can not control them. Jaime then releases Tyrion who finds Shae in Tywin’s bed and stranges her to heath. Then he finds Tywin using the bathroom and shoots him with a crossbow and kills him.

Season 5

Tywin is buried after his death and Tyrion and Varys go out to Mareen to support Daenerys claim to the Iron Throne. The “Sons of the Harpy” are murdering people in Meereen. Daenerys’ dragons attack her when she goes to check on them. Mance Rayder refuses Stannis’ request to join his army so he burns him alive. Arya arrives in Braavos and is accepted into the House of Black and White. Jon is then elected Lord Commander of the night's watch. Littlefinger makes plans to marry Sansa to Ramsay Bolton. Cersei imprisons the High Septon and then meets the High Sparrow. Tyrion and Varys then arrive in Volantis where Tyrion is abducted by Jorah. Cersei provides weapons to the Sparrows who arrest Loras for being gay. Jaime and Bronn land in Dorne and the Son of the Harpy continue to cause problems for Daenerys in Meereen. Tormund accepts an alliance with the Night's Watch that will allow them to settle south of the wall. Tyrion and Mormont sail through Valyria but are attacked by a group of stone men and Jorah is infected with greyscale. H’ghar shows Arya all the faces of the people that have died in the House of Black and White. Jorah and Tyrion are captured by slavers but coinvoice then to take them to the fighting pits of Meereen. Margaery is arrested by the sparrows for lying to the gods at Loras’ trial. Sansa is also married to Ramsay who rapes her infront of Theon. Jon Snow heads to Hardhome with Tormund. Jorah and Tyrion are sold to a slaver named Qaggaz. Later, the high sparrow also arrests Cersei due to incest. In Meereen, Tyrion convinces Daenerys to spare Jorah’s life and exile him again. Hardhome is attacked by an army of white walkers and Jon kills one with his Valyrian-steel sword. The survivors sail away as they witness the Night King reanimate all the deceased. The wildlings and Jon return to the wall and they are allowed to pass through. In the fighting pits, the Son of the Harpy attack again and she is initially saved by Jorah. But as hope seems to fade, Drogon arrives and she mounts the dragon and flies away. Stannis’ forces abandon him for burning his own daughter and his wife committing suicide. Qyburn saves the Mountain but he is back as a zombie like creature. Myrcella dies of poison as soon as her and Jaime board the ship back to King’s Landing. Arya breaks the rules of the House of Black and White and is blinded for violated the terms. At the very end of the season, Jon Snow is stabbed several times by mutineers, including Throne and Olly.

Season 6

Jon’s corpse is found by Ser Davos and Edd who take him inside. While Edd goes to get help, Throne assume command of the Watch. Sansa and Theon are escaping through the woods while Ramsay’s men are about to capture them until Brienne and Podrick save them. In Meereen, Tyrion and Varys find all the ships burning in the harbor and Daario and Jorah continue to track Daenerys who has been taken by the Dothraki to Khal Moro. Edd arrives with Tormund and imprisoned Throne and the other mutineers. Tyrion learns that Astapor and Yunkai have revert to slavery and he releases the other two dragons from their imprisonment. Arya is attacked by the Waif again in Braavos until H’ghar recruits her again. Roose Bolton has another baby soon, which prompts Ramsay to murder his entire family. Davos persuades the Red woman to attempt to resurrect Jon, and it appears she fails, but as everyone leaves the room, he awaken. Arya regains her sight as she continues to train with the Waif. Jon executes Throne, Olly, and the other officers involved in his assassination and then renounces his oath and puts Tollet in charge. Sansa is reunited with Jon as Castle Black. Jon receives a letter threatening Rickon and they march south back to Winterfell. Meanwhile, Bran is learning a lot of information as the three eyed raven, like the White Walkers were created by the Children of the Forest to protect themselves from the First Men. Meera and Bran escape from the White Walker attack but is saved by a mysterious man who turns out to be Benjen. Theon and Yara sail to Meereen to ally with Daenerys. While Meereen comes under naval assault by the slaving cities, Daenerys returns. Arya ends up betraying the House of Black and White but ends up killing the Waif in the catacombs below Braavos. Arya returns the face of the Waif and declares that she is going home. Daenerys and Grey Worm win the battle against the slavers, killing many of them. Then the Stark and Bolton armies meet on the field outside winterfell for one hell of a battle. Ramsay feigns setting rickon free but kills him with a long distance arrow. The Stark army is saved by the Knights of the Vale. Jon brutally beats Ramsay and then Sansa lets the hounds devour him. Before Cersei’s trial, she destroys the Sept of Baelor with wildfire, killing the High Sparrow, Margaery, Mace, Loras, Lancel, Kevan Lannister, and hundreds of other. Tommen sees this in the horizon and commits suicide. Arya kills Walder Frey and his sons. Sam and Gilly reach the Citadel. Bran then also learns with his powers than Jon is actually the son of Lyanna Stark. Jaime returns to King’s landing to see Qyburn name Cersei Queen. Daenerys leaves Daario and the Second Sons to rule Meereen before she sets sail to Westeros.

Season 7

The White Walkers march toward the Wall where Tollet allows Bran back on the other side. At the Citadel, Sam steals books that reveal a large amount of dragonglass in Dragonstone and sends word to Jon. Sam also later finds Jorah in a cell where he is struggling with the Greyscale. Thoros then shows The Hound a vision in the fire which allows him to believe in the Lord of Light. Daenerys arrives at Dragonstone, the previous home of House Targaryen. Arya then learns of Jon’s ascension to King of the North. After receiving Sam’s letter, Jon sets out for Dragonstone in hopes of convincing Daenerys to support the fight against the White Walkers. Sam applies a forbidden treatment on Jorah and he is healed. Euron attacks Yara’s fleet and Obara and Nymeria are killed while Ellaria, Tyene, and Yara are captured. Theon flees the carnage by jumping into the sea. Jon arrives at Dragonstone where Daenerys demands his fealty, but he refuses and focuses on the importance of fighting the White Walkers. Bran arrives back at Winterfell and reveals his role as the Three Eyed Raven to Sansa. Grey Worm attacks Casterly Rock only to find it abandoned while Jaime went to attack Highgarden. Jaime offers Olenna a quick and painless death by poison where she admits to being the one to poison Joffrey. The Iron Bank comes to Cersei to collect on their debt where she ensures them a full return on their investment. Despite Tyrion’s protest, Daenerys heads off with her dragons to attack the Lannister army. Drogon is wounded by the ballista Qyburn created and Bronn tackles Jaime into the river just in time to save him from the Dragon. Jon attempts to travel north of the wall to capture a wight to convince cersei of a temporary alliance and Davos smuggles Tyrion inside King’s Landing. Cersei then reveals to Jamie she is pregnant. Jon, Jorah, Gendry, The Hound, Tormund and a few others head north of the wall. After successfully capturing a wight, they are laid siege to by the White Walker Army. Daenerys arrives and saves the group with the help of her dragons, but the Night King throws an ice spear at Viserion and kills it. Daenerys flies off with the party but is unable to save Jon. Jon is eventually saved by Benjen Stark as he sacrifices himself to save Jon. When Jon and Daenerys are reunited, Jon pledges himself and the North to Daenerys and the Night King resurrects Viserion. At King’s Landing, the wight is presented to the Lannisters and Cersei demands Jon’s neutrality in the Great War but he says no. Ytrion meets with Cersei and persuades her to ally, but later Cersei reveals to Jaime she plans to use the Golden Company of Braavos to secure her hold on Westeros. Jaime abandoned her and rides north. Jon and Daenerys have sex. Theon finally earns the respect of his men and rescues Yara. Littlefinger then finds himself accused of murder, treason and betrayal with Bran confirming his rimes. Littlefinger is then executed by Arya. Sam arrives at Winterfell and discusses Jon’s parentage with Bran, where they realize Jon is a trueborn Targaryen named Aegon and is the legitimate heir to the Iron Throne as his parents Rhaegar and Lyanna married in secret. The Night King then collapses a section of the Wall with blue dragon fire near Eastwatch and they march through the wall.
